Talk to me about Disney Cruise line.

We are seasoned Disney travelers, have been all over - but mainly Florida.

We know how packed the parks can get - but the good thing is to an extent you can buy your way out of the crowds. Lighting Lane, preferred viewing, Minnie by Lyft etc.

However, with a cruise that doesn't look possible.

Is it worth doing and how packed is it?

I did one years ago. There’s a set number of people on the ship so it was not as busy as the parks. I did a park and cruise package and much preferred the cruise. The dc liked the childcare best as the Disney princess read stories

I didn’t find it particularly busy, you can book private tours when you are off the ship. The adult pool is lovely.
I had a balcony and an inside stateroom for my family, have you looked into what the concierge staterooms offer?

We had set meal times etc but they may have changed the system, most cruise lines use an app now.

There are a lot of cruisers with youtube channels that I would recommend watching - Cruise with Ben and David, Emma Cruises - they have sailed on Disney cruise ships and vlogged about their experience, it might help you make up your mind. They are always very busy, but that is to be expected on any large cruise ship these days.
