Hi everyone 🤗

I’m new here, I’m Aimee and I’m 23!

I’m coming off the contraceptive implant this week and TTC.

Wondered if anyone else had experience of coming off the implant and TTC? Obviously google is my worst enemy and I’ve read a lot of horror stories about miscarriages being linked to implant removal - sigh!

I’m a big worrier and this will be my first child (when it comes to it) so kinda freaking out before anything has even happened yet!!

Also - bit of a strange one (don’t think I’m crazy) I know it’s supposedly very unlucky but I like to be prepared so I’ve started buying baby essentials in preparation for the upcoming TTC, anyone else done this or just me?? Everyone else thinks I’m nuts haha!!

Aim

X

DoulaJuliette · 20/11/2018 12:52

Hi Im new, Im Juliette and I'm a doula,
I have three children and was a casting agent before I had my children but decided to become a doula to support women and families before during and after pregnancy and labour.

I believe that when fully supported during birth, labour can be shortened and empowering.

I am here to offer my support to anyone xxx

gamerchick · 20/11/2018 12:55

Hello all the new people. Get stuck in Grin

IrishCypriot · 20/11/2018 13:03

Hi everyone

I'm going to jump on this one!
Holly, 27, and hopefully pregnant.
Took a test yesterday 4 days til AF.
Very faint positive.

Had just posted my first post rant the day before about how neurotic I was being since DTD!

TTC #1 so if it's true I'm very lucky Grin

Stardustinmyeyes · 01/01/2019 13:49

Hello to all of you.
I was new at this time last year.
If you have a look at topics I'm sure that you will find boards that are specific to your questions.
It's a great place but be careful of AIBU, things can get a bit excitable there

Sheneiqua · 02/01/2019 15:14

EJade123 · 02/01/2019 23:20

Hi, Im Emma. I’m 26 and just had my first baby on the 31st December and joined Munsnet today. Struggling with breast feeding in these first 48 hours!

Mildr3d1 · 06/01/2019 13:53

Hello! My little girl is 21 months. TBH I’ve made a bit of a hash getting her to self soothe hence bedtime often results in a car ride to get her off to sleep! If we put her in her cot before she’s asleep she cries to the point of making herself sick - despite various soothing techniques. Only picking her up calms her down. Can’t bear to see her so distressed and don’t want bedtime to become a negative experience. Thinking of trying separation technique - anyone else been in similar situation? Did it work? How long did it take? I’ve got a feeling we could be sat with her until very late at night as she’s not keen to go to sleep and can keep going long into the evening given half the chance! Want to curb this habit as she needs the sleep and we need our evenings back. Hoping this will simultaneously help her if she wakes in the night too! All advice welcome. Many thanks!

darkangel91 · 07/01/2019 01:20

EJade123 - I tried to breast feed my son when he was born but I found it difficult to get him to latch so sadly ended up having to bottle feed. Have you spoken to your midwife or health visitor about the issues you are having trying to breast feed??
