Bed wetting/sleep problems

Hi all. Just after some advice really. My daughter will be 4 on Saturday! Anyway, she's been dry during the day for over a year. Then in June, she began to wake up with a dry pull up so we decided to stop buying them and let her wear knickers to bed. She has been doing really well then suddenly she's been wetting every night. She has her last wee at 8.30pm right before sleep, I wake her n make her go at around midnight but then she's coming into my room wet between 2-3am but after she is changed and cleaned up stays dry until morning. It is also disrupting her sleep as once she is up she refuses to settle again saying she's scared of the dark (she has 2 night lights on!)/having
nightmares/doesn't like her room anymore basically every excuse under the sun and she will be up and down all night after that. I don't know what to do for the best now as it's been every single night for a week or so. Should I put her back in pull ups? It's very tiring for me being woken every night and unable to return back to sleep as I suffer with insomnia now as a result of being constantly woke up. Any advice please?

How is she getting on now @Studentmum34?

Some things you could try include, giving her lots of drinks she likes in the morning and early afternoon, so maybe a milkshake, diluted fruit juice, squash, hot chocolate or milk, then nothing to drink after her evening meal. That way you’ll be sure she’s hydrated in the day but won’t have a full bladder at night.

I’d put her back in pull ups too and put a towel under her sheet.

We also left a potty right by the bed in case they woke enough to get out of bed and use it.

Thanks. She had one dry night but then wet again the next two. Think I will try what you suggested with the drinks.

Hi OP - my DD was 4 last weekend, she has been dry at night for nearly 12 months.....until about 6 weeks ago and then she started wetting the bed nearly every night. Cue the middle of the night wrestle with bed sheets and washer on constant......after 2 weeks of this I decided to pop her back in a pull up.

She has been okay about it and probably has about 50:50 dry: wet nights now.

I don't know if I have done the right thing, but the changing the bed in the nighttime was doing me in.....plus I'm currently pregnant and already shattered.

I have read on a couple of other threads that it is quite common at this age as there are lots of changes coming and they can be a bit worried about it - and that GPs won't see you about it until they are over 6 and wetting the bed.

Hope you get sorted soon.
