Carpet right not fitted my LOT correctly

Hi.
I had MY fitted, which I expect to be fitted properly, under the skirting board. However when it was done it has beading fitted all around, which doesn't match the floor at all. I have since found out that the beading is for laminate flooring sense why it doesn't match and they don't offer beading that does match.

I have been back and forth with carpet right and they are not willing to change it or compensate even though i have basically been missold a product. Now I'm stuck with something that doesn't match and is of poor quality as the beading looks a mess and tatty already.
There were also other problems with poor fitting as well. The whole experience has been a nightmare, after spending a considerable amount of money.

Does anyone have any advice of what i do next as carpet right are being really useless and just keep lying to be and fobbing me off.

Thanks for reading.

Nothing to seal it, just butts straight up to the skirting

Yep, it should butt up to skirting. Then a silicone sealant can be applied if necessary. If there are gaps that need covering with beading beading, they've cocked it up

That's what I though they've just taken the easy route n covered it with beading. Should this deffinatly not have been done? @bastardingcough

I showed this thread to a relative with over 50 years fitting experience. He said it sounded like a cock up, a bad job if they can butt to the skirting.

I got Kardean fitted last year. The fitter put down plywood over the floor boards then adhesive on top of that to stick down the tiles. No beading was necessary and shouldn’t be on that type of flooring unless they haven’t prepared the sub-floor correctly. Keep complaining. Sometimes you have to shout to be heard. Citizens Advice are generally quite good at pointing you in the best direction.Good Luck🍀

Thanks for all your advice. I've just spoken to citizens advice and they've advised me to contact buy with confidence so a professional can assess there work. Hopefully then I will get somewhere. Carpet right have made this into such a stressful experience for myself.

Contact trading standards .im pretty sure you are covered by consumer rights etc. I had carpet right fit a stair carpet for me ,It was all loose so they sent out the chap to fix it but it made no difference.then they just didn’t want to know their excuse was they sub contract their fitters.
Not sure what vinyl tiles are .but when I put my laminate down I used beading round the edges to cover expansion gap as I didn’t want to take the skirting boards off in case the plaster came off to lol
But have a chat to trading standards and your c.a.b.
