hi everyone, i'm not a mum and i'm 19 years old.
i'm a massive sufferer of heat rash since i was about 15, i remember going on holiday to turkey and having to sit under the umbrella most of the day because i had heat rash head to toe (even on the bottom of my feet!) since then it has returned every hot day since. I have tried everything you could possibly imagine ; antihistamines, vitamin C tablets, different sun creams, cool spray and even detol soap which was apparently the answer for so many people.
My mum has also had the same problem until recently where she has hit the menopause.. which made me realise its something to do with hormones! This also links with why it started at age 15 ( puberty and I started taking the contraceptive pill for my bad periods).
I know people will tell me to try and stay in the shade and keep cool but that isn't an option anymore as i'm going to florida on holiday in October and I will be out in the sun all day...also why should i constantly be a burden on people and feel i dont want to go on holidays because i suffer with heat rash?
i'm wondering if anyone has had something similar or if they can give me advice on what contraception to have as i'm really feeling down about it... it makes me so conscious, last month it was so bad i even got it on my face :( any advice would be greatly appreciated as i have no idea what to do anymore.

Have you had blood tests to check for lupus?

My DD had something similar caused by her meds (antibiotics in her case). Could it be increased sensitivity caused by the pill?

i have had a lot of blood tests recently for glandular fever as i also get tonsillitis a lot and i also give blood regularly so had a test for iron after fainting on my last donation (both were completely fine)
would they test for lupus when you give blood samples as i know they check for a few other things?
