I had my one and only daughter when I was 39. Now im 48 sitting at drama, dance and skating classes with mams in their 30s feeling ancient. Ànyone else out there the same x

I had my dd at 40, and I'm now 50. I haven't felt too 'old ' with other mums, but I'm in a part of the country where it’s pretty common - dd has 3 close friends, and their mothers are 50, 51 and 32 But dd and her friend were discussing parents' ages while we were walking home yesterday and informed me that I, at 50, still seem young, but DH, at 38, is a grumpy old man. It's all in the attitude, apparently (so long as no one lets on how totally knackered I am)

I had my children at 43 and 45 - I am old enough to be a grand parent, they are now 8 and 10 . However on the plus side people generally think I am 10 years younger than I am !!

It can be weird for sure - I have had people with children a little older than mine that I am the same age as their mum.

Hi all i have enjoyed reading your stories. I have two when i was 29 but never stayed with their dad. Im now 42 and have been with my partner 5 years. Athough he is 2 years younger i would consider another but thought i might be too old.
