try to avoid the bus at school out time. but this week had to do it, on full bus with my white cane. no seats so held onto handle... now the point is that this bloke shamed 2 girls sat in disabled seats to stand up and it transpired that they didn't know a white stick meant visual impairment
.who is the one to educate? parents or teachers?

I expect most teachers know.
However, it's pretty rare to see a white cane these days.
I think, if it is an issue, then an awareness campaign by the RNIB would be the way forward.

I'd say parents and teachers. I remember being taught what different aids meant by both so I don't understand how noones taught them.

I would contact the school - they may be able to hold an awareness assembly/event.

Both parents and teachers should educate.
