I drafted two different posts before this, but then I thought: What if people write mean comments? Or what if noone replies at all?
This is probably why I've never been to any playgroups either... Blush

I've just had my first teeny tiny criticism on a thread and I feel as if I really belong now. I actually said that to the person who criticised me and she came back with a nice welcome and a smiley.

By the way, can I hijack your thread and ask the wise ones how to do a smiley?

Sorry - I see you know how to do it yourself, so you can tell me!

Misguided, you can click on the mobile site but on the web page scroll down from the reply box to see the list of available smilies. You type the word in between square brackets without any spaces

So Smile is the word smile snug up against an opening [ and a closing ]
[ smile ] without the gaps.

Others are grin, wink, shock, hmm that's the raised eyebrow, confused which is the twisted lips, blush, angry, sad and envy.
You can also use wine, biscuit, brew, flowers, cake etc.
See below the reply panel down on the left and it also tells you how to bold, do italics and strike out or underline words - none of those work though if you leave spaces e.g if you want to bold to quote two paragraphs

emphasize it

like this has two lots of stars or you get

emphasize it

like this

HTH Smile

Name changing sounds good!

Welcome! Avoid AIBU and don't over invest emotionally. Be careful not to give too much personal information (makes you identifiable) and you'll be fine. You cannot edit or delete your posts yourself (you have to ask mnhq to do it and they decide whether they will or not). People can name change and do, mainly to avoid being identified because (if one is that way inclined) they can search for a posters posting history so be careful.
