The school have recognised my daughter might have some adhd traits. Spoke to the dr about a month ago who thought an appointment to see my daughter in person was appropriate
In and out within 6 minutes as they don't do anything to help with the process
What the fudge
Stuck with an 8 year old who I can't control, she's stealing and lying and struggling so much in school. I don't know what to do 😓

I wish I knew how to help. I think you should go back to her school and ask for advice. Also ask for a send opinion from another doctor and request a double appointment, explaining you will need at least that time to be able to explain the symptoms.

There is a good book about ADHD by Dr Sami Timini and another “Simplicity Parenting” by Kim John Payne. They both explain some wholistic approaches very well.

I have also read on here about children who may be autistic who may react with Pathological Demand Avoidance, or be aggressive at home while masking at school. Again you need to be referred for a diagnosis which apparently takes a long time.

There are other sources es of advice of hiw to act as a parent. For example, ways of speaking avoiding direct demands so the child does not feel cornered and feels they have a choice.

Tiredness, stress, and hunger make things worse. Avoid high sugar diets. Get Omega 6 & 3.

Maybe others will have good advice.
