Hyper verbal ADHD or autism in the workplace

My team want me to talk less.Bit hurtful but no real surprise.
I'm not on medication yet.How do I manage to speak less when many others chat away and when I start I can't stop as my brain just goes from topic to topic.
When I'm in my shell people think I'm moody or standoffish.
What do you do in the workplace.

Everyone talks where I work.
It's customer service not a library.

But your current and previous colleagues asked to be separated from you because of your chatter? Goodness, I can’t imagine how difficult it just have been to have been told this by your employer, not once, but twice!

No my first place was women who decided not to engage with me.Unbeknownst to me I took a job one of them applied for.On her return from long term sick there was I so they decided not to have anything to do with me.
My current place I was told I talk too much which I personally see as myself not so much letting others get a word in edge wise.
I'm trying and like I said previously it is how I got diagnosed as it's a major part of my disability.

I just reread your post jimmyneutronshead and it makes total sense.
Especially when another neurodiverse person who is very part time was told not to speak .
No one else was.

Two colleagues deciding not to have anything to do with you…. But did they go to management and request not to have you around them because you talk too much? I only ask because you said that what’s happening with current employer also happened previous.

Yes, not letting people get a word in edgeways is indeed something you need to get on top of Op. as a matter of priority

Luckily we are a neurodiverse team .4 of us are yappers.
One rarely speaks and the rest chat in a medium amount.
It's v useful for me to learn to hold back especially when my default is to chat.
Also useful those of us who chat in a customer setting.
