Smiling at work

So while I'm awaiting an ADHD or even audhd assessment in the next couple of weeks it was mentioned in passing that I wasn't smiling at work.
It was mentioned at my last place before where I was miserable due to being ostracized.
My new job has some lovely colleagues who mostly comment how positive I am about my job and can't believe I have so much energy.
Should I really have to fake smiling behind the scenes at work.?
I would consider my self really happy apart from being told this.

Do you mind me asking who told you that you are not smiling enough? If your manager told you then yes I think you need to do more “fake smiling”. If it was someone less important then I would probably just ignore them, especially if you already get on well with your colleagues.

It was the manager who wanted to take a photo in a passing comment.
Must admit I'm not smiling when I'm concentrating.

I'd be inclined to ignore this person, manager or not. Forced smiling is bad for your health.

I once got feedback from the interviewer, after not getting a job, that I should smile more. I was immediately glad that I'd not got the job. I don't exist as decoration.
