Potential ADHD - curious about treatment

Hi everyone, I'm currently waiting for an appointment for my ADHD assessment. I'm realllyyyyy struggling at the moment and I just think if I got a diagnosis so much of my life would make sense.

My question is to those of you diagnosed as an adult, which treatment options were you offered, which did you choose, and have you felt they've helped?

I take a low dose stimulant and I also have had ADHD coaching and listened to lots of books and podcasts. The strategies are as important as meds IMHO.

Thank you. Do you think they've made a difference? I work full time and am a mum of 2 and just feel like I'm completely drowning, but I'm nervous to medication as I've had bad reactions to some in the past.

I'm very sensitive to meds so I only take a low dose quick release med. That means I don't lose my appetite and if I want to skip it I can. It means my brain goes from 50000 thoughts to what one thing do I need to do. And it's easier to start things. And am more emotionally regulated. I still have to practise strategies like being organised, sleep, good diet etc.
