Annoying habit DD

My adult Dd taps my nose with her finger which I find so very annoying.
Ive spoken to her about it but she walks off to her room.
How do I stop this?

  • Don't stop an autistic person from stimming unless they are harming themselves or someone else or damaging property.
  • Don't tell someone what to do with their own body unless they are harming themselves or someone else or damaging property.

If you told me not to stim, you'd get a much stiffer response than me going off to my room.

You’ve misread my post. I’m NOT talking about my DD stimming.

If your stimming involves tapping me on my nose I am afraid I'm very much going to stop you stimming

😂I misread the OP as DD tapping her own nose.

No, it's not OK for her to tap yours. A firm "no" and moving her hand away?

No worries 😂😂
She’s just so fast, and her hand moves like lightening. I’ve tried ignoring, saying no, nothing changes. I guess I’ll ride it out until the phase passes 🤔🤞🤞
