I often wonder if it’s possible not to fit in Neurotypicaly but not be Neurodiverse either?

I think there's a chunk of people who are on the border for both that have a difficulty identifying as NT or ND as they are so close to the one they are not.

But there's so many other variables...like your racial and cultural heritage, whether you are different to your family, your looks, your wealth. There's all play a part of how you feel.

Are you struggling with fitting in?..I think it's better to be yourself and see who you gel with (but that can take a lot of time!) rather than trying to fit in somewhere which sometimes can be quicker but ultimately be less fulfilling.

I have a diagnosis of Dyspraxia but also began an assesment for Autism as suggested by a couple of family members. People outside the family will refer to me as Neurotypical. In some ways I’ve found out where I thought no one saw things like I do they actually do but in others ways I see things very differently to others. I’ve always felt like I’m on the outside looking in or not part of things

I am AuDHD and late diagnosed, so became expert at masking. I often feel like this. I appear NT & also as I have the dual diagnoses don't always feel overtly autistic or overtly ADHD. It's hard!

I feel like this. I came across the concept of Broad Autism Phenotype, which is used to describe people who have subclinical levels of autistic traits.

I think I definitely fit into this. I really struggle from time to time with things other people don't seem to, but I don't think I would get an actual diagnosis of ASD. My scores on tests like the AQ50 are consistently borderline.

What to Know the Broad Autism Phenotype

Many people, particularly parents of autistic children, have some autistic traits. Find out more about the broad autism phenotype and what it means.
