Self medicated inattentive adhd

I've been referred for ADHD by my GP as i relate to inattentive ADHD although I won't be surprised if they saw that my features are just slow processing and therefore due to being autistic rather than inattentive ADHD. Any insights on that would be helpful.

I really struggle to start anything. I'm awful in the morning. I recently started using super pro plus to wake me up in the morning which really helps.

I set my alarm for 630am take the pill then snooze for another 20 mins, with alarm going off every 5 mins then wake up at 7am. If I didn't take the super pro plus then I would struggle to get out of bed until 7:30am.

If I went on ADHD medication do you think I won't need to use that anymore?

Yeah you won't need that anymore LOL

Whilst awaiting for my assessment I found taking L - Theanine, caffeine & L Tyrosine really helped me, it took away the procrastination & made me so much more focused! I took the stack 3/4 times a day x

@littlemissdelightful do you mind sharing which ones you used? Thanks

Probably not - ADHD medication does the same thing essentially but it's more effective.

You might want to say that you want something you can take on an empty stomach. Extended release methylphenidate (what they generally give you first) should be taken with food in the stomach or the stomach acid will dissolve the coating on the later-release part too quickly so it won't last as long and you might get an overlapping dose (stronger than intended).

However instant release methylphenidate would be OK and I take Elvanse which is OK on an empty stomach, but it does work best if I have breakfast before coffee.

What you are doing is taking a tablet where lots of people drink a coffee. The tablets don't replace the effects of ADHD medication
