I scored 46, however I think it's probably equally important to do the cat-q test online as well to see what your masking points are currently.
I'd wager that if your scores for the aq50 are low but the cat-q are high it's just that you're high masking.
Regardless, if you're thinking of seeking a diagnosis it's probably beneficial to look at the diagnostic criteria and write down all examples you feel you meet as well as getting a personal account from someone who has known you all your life and who may be present at your assessments.
When I went through my assessments though, my assessor said a lot of what I was explaining could be explained by cptsd, which could have been offered as a standalone diagnosis, however they also said that it's important to note that being autistic is inherently traumatic and as a late diagnosed adult there will have been many periods in my life where my needs were persistently not being met, and this is a recipe for complex trauma, but essentially what she was saying is that if I wasn't autistic, that doesn't mean I'm alright, it means it could well have been something else in it's own right.
I did get an autism diagnosis and not a combined autism and cptsd diagnosis, however I wish they'd made it more clear on my feedback report that they'd considered it and mentioned the reasons why so I can back up my requests for support.
