Should I tell my new boss that I am waiting for an autism assessment?

My old boss knew as I told her. My new boss starts tomorrow and I am not sure whether to tell him. He's been on a long notice period in his old job so we've had quite a bit of contact and he seems like a really nice guy. I'm just not sure whether to tell him or not. It definitely affects my work as in how I comprehend instructions, and we are going to be working closely together. I'm inclined to, in a "not a big deal but" kind of way, just so he understands why I work the way I do. I have found out that he has a hidden disability and I'm thinking that he will tell me (because he's quite open about it on LinkedIn) so when he does, I can bring it up then? What do you think? I've been overthinking it all week!

I did, with the approach of it will help us form a more effective working relationship, here are some things that will help our communication etc, if you do x,y and z, it can be really challenging for me.

It really gave me the measure of him as a person that he reacted that it was no big deal, then simply offered me the correct support that helped me succeed in the role that I never previously thought possible. Quietly accepting and understated but vital support.

6 years later, he’s lying in bed next to me, as my husband of 6 months… so I think it worked out?!

when I moved on from that role (before he became DP I might add!) I chose my next manager/role based on his positive reaction to my disclosure.
