Coloured glasses?

Anyone else tried coloured glasses for relieving symptoms of autism? My optician has a whole range of tints available, you can have your prescription lenses tinted for an extra £40. I initially wanted yellow because I’d heard that yellow lenses were helpful for people with autism, but yellow made everything look so bright. So I went for a soft peach tint instead. It makes everything look slightly dimmer, like the lights have been turned down. And it’s not too dramatic so my glasses still look like glasses not sunglasses.

I've never tried it but I do have indoors and outdoors glasses. My outdoor sunglasses are dark polarised lenses and my indoor and more of a grey tint and just take the edge off.

Yes I've had them for years. They make such a difference but shade and colour are both important. I had mine done through the visual stress clinic at local eye hospital the first time, then on repeat prescriptions I got the normal optician to colour match lenses. Mine are pretty green green but I don't care what people think as the help so much (after kids got over calling me the green eyed monster!🤣😴)

Can you link to any information on this.

I’ve got Irlens syndrome, and I contacted a screener locally and got tints specifically tailored for myself. They’re really good and help loads.
