I have to have a wash and go type of style. It's mainly long with no fringe as I can't stand the feel on my forehead. I generally tie it back though. I use hair clips or headband on a windy day because I get so angry when my hair blows onto my face.

I don't dye my hair so I have some greys showing through now.
I'd love to be able to have colourful hair but I wouldn't be able to deal with the upkeep. I also like curly hair but I can't stand the feel of products in my hair.

Going to the hairdresser is my downtime - zone out and stare at my phone for a couple of hours. My hair is short, very very bleached (it's really naturally fine and lank and this makes it much easier to handle) and usually dyed a stupid colour. I don't feel "right" with it a plain colour these days - it's currently purple with pink highlights through it.

I'm at the hairdresser most months. She's lovely - not excessively chatty, gets how my mind works as her daughter's got similar diagnoses to me.

Do you have to style it or is it short enough to be just washed and left?

My short hair does not need to be styled literally dry with towel brush it and done. Does not get knots or anything so easy

Wash it, leave it, chuck a little bit of gel through it if I want it slightly spiked up. Hairdresser knows that my definition of blow drying my hair is pointing the car air vents at it a bit on my way to work so we go seriously low maintenance on it.

I hate having my hair cut, only ever get a dry cut from a walk in place and only when desperately needed. I think this is partly a ‘Don’t touch me’ thing and partly a fear of commitments to an appt and the anxiety that anticipating the appt brings!

I’ve grown out my fringe, so I can go for longer between cuts!
I colour it myself
I tend to wash and leave it, can’t cope with styling it, but will straighten it if I need to look smart (rarely!)

My mum despairs 🤣

I think my hatred of going to the hairdresser's led to my general 'shit hair don't care' style. Needs a trim now think I'll ask dp...
It's the attempts at chat and the ensuing awkwardness, and the physical contact urgh.
