I know change is rarely good when you're neurodiverse but is anyone else finding this update particulary difficult?

I'm struggling with the lack of clear definition between posts. I rarely read long posts as I can't process walls of text and without the blue line the whole thread becomes a wall a text.

The whole thing is now more gray and 'samey' and so hard to focus on. It's actually giving me a headache trying to concentrate.

I hate it. It feels like those low quality news sites which you have to scroll forever, and they trick you into clicking on ads. I hate that there's hardly any text on my phone screen, just white space. Aarghh.

I am finding the font difficult to read, especially on desktop. Going to be spending a lot less time on here

I can't see your quoted stuff @BlackeyedSusan It doesn't appear to show quotes in the app. Which is useful.

Completely off the subject......how did I not know there was a neurodiverse mumsnetters section?! Delighted with this discovery!

I only found this thread as the trending threads have been stuck for the last two days and haven't updated so I've had to go rooting around to find new stuff to read.

I can cope with the scrolling but HATE nested threads and yesterday a big advert covered the main post and I couldn't read it. No option to move the advert. It pissed me off so much I felt like deleting my MN account on the spot (huge overreaction haha).

I don't like it either. I'm mainly pissed off that the site doesn't actually work. But I also fully agree with this: I can't process walls of text and without the blue line the whole thread becomes a wall a text.

The nesting quotes is okay up to about 2 or 3. After that, it's very difficult to understand who is saying what. I can imagine those threads where someone quotes the entire OP and makes a one-line comment will now get totally unreadable!

Agree. more than one quotation is ok, but by two or three rather than many more.

I'm so confused with this new layout and why are there so many Zombie threads??
Also, I got logged out and it's taken me days to work out my log in details as I've changed email addresses since then.

I think the zombie threads might be to do with the app. When you open the app its on active looks like there’s no issue but if I check the date of everything it’s all really old stuff. There wasn’t a single one from after January for me but majority were years old. Just saw one with no replies on active in the app that was started in 2017.

Site stuff thread MNHQ said the app has a few glitches but it’s basically broken for me, ancient threads in active and the rest of it doesn’t work at all.

I dislike the narrowness of the text strip when viewed on a computer. I wish there was an option to widen it - it just feels like such a waste of space. I'm not sure why this bothers me, it just does.
