Crushing Tiredness

Anyone with ADD/ADHD feel they have way less energy than other people?
I have felt this my whole life, just discovered that I am ADD.

How do I try and get more energy?
Doe the medication help with this?

(I am fit and healthy, eat well, exercise, am a healthy weight, sleep for 8 hours a day, work part time, no children, small but nice social life, don't drink much, no smoking/vaping etc etc already....)

Forgot: had blood/thyroid tests at the docs - I take good multi vitamins, iron & vit D just in case.

This is quite common and happens because we're working so hard to keep body and soul together - navigating the complex world and trying to communicate effectively.

I find supplements of great benefit and also self care with plenty of detachment time.

Thanks @BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation - which supplements do you take that help?

This is me of late, although I wonder if I am still getting over the lurgy I had. I know I am short of potassium and wonder if I am a bit short of Iron as my gums and fingernails are looking much paler than usual. I'm due a blood test soon anyway, so shall phone the Drs.

I do take magnesium (glycinate rather than citrate) to help with cramps and teeth grinding, and also 5HTP to help regularise my sleep (menopause sleep fuckup) and help calm me - it may or may not work! Hmm

I’m another constantly tired adhd-er. But I would always urge people to eliminate physical reasons for any problem before putting it down to a psychological one iyswim. I think this is an issue in women’s health care in particular.

So in that vein, I’d add sinus issues to the list of things to check (if you have a post nasal drip, or the feeling of needing to swallow phlegm a lot, photo sensitivity, headaches in your forehead - I wouldn’t have linked any of these to my sinuses) I get crushing tiredness and brain fog when my sinuses are acting up.
