Are periods stressful to you as a ND woman?

It's that time of the month and honestly, it just wipes me out. Sensory wise is awful, things that I can usually cope with have me struggling, I get pain and they are really heavy. I'm under a gynae to check if it's endometriosis.
My bleeding is sooo heavy as I have a clotting issue so I end up anemic too.
How do you cope as a ND woman?

I'm post menopausal, so periods are a thing of the past.

However, I was quite stoic about mine, despite heavy bleeding, clots and pain every month, I just got on with it. I'm not sure that I'd be the same now though and would probably look into having the Mirena coil and I'd buy nicer sanitary products than the ones I had no choice but to use.

I hope that you get some answers and appropriate support from your gynae.

I used to get that pre menstrual dysphoria thingy (can't remember exact term). It's like pms on steroids. Absolutely awful.

They were. But then I got put on the mini pill and they stopped completely. If I'd have known that would be the side effect I'd have asked to change sooner.

I was diagnosed with Stage IV endo about six years ago, and underwent a unilateral oophorectomy/salpingectomy, which came as a massive surprise to me.

I think, in common with a lot of ND people - particularly ND women - I had no concept of pain or discomfort, so what seemed 'normal' to me was code red to medics.

I'm not very good at noticing mine. I don't seem to remember my monthly cycle so it always comes as a surprise and I have pads in every bag just in case, and use an app as a reminder. I sometimes forget halfway through because they are light. They don't bother me though, in fact I've always quite liked them. As a teenager I was so happy each month as they felt like a sign I was a normal human when I felt like an alien. I am very lucky though that mine have always been light and pain-free.

I can't cope with them. I've never had one where I haven't stained pants and usually the bed too.

They have never been regular even on the pill or using an app so I can't predict them.

I used take take pill packs back to back to avoid them completely.

I can't wait for the menopause!

I was 17 when I decided periods were not for me .the stress of not knowing when it’s due and waiting, the dreadful pads my mother bought me felt hellish on top of already struggling with life ,periods were a step to far ..so I went on contraception to stop them ,I’m now nearly 50 and have only had periods after the birth of babies ,and the odd month I came off the pill to get pregnant..

Mine used to be horrendous and I didn't cope very well with the whole mess of it. First mirena coil inserted 21 years ago and I've not looked back.
