Feeling so tired and weak these days. Went to sleep at around 8pm last night and that's unheard of, I used to be a night owl. I feel old and clapped out and I'm only early 50s. Nothing wrong with me, just tired. Haven't been the same since I had covid. Could be menopause grottiness though.

Need to lose weight and get some exercise.

Anyone else feel this way?

Hi have you had bloods checked? Could it be low iron or vitd?

Theunamedcat · 27/01/2022 07:03

I had bloods checked a few months ago and they were okay. I might get some spatone iron. I used to take it. I don't eat a lot of iron rich foods.

When I'm overloaded mentally the physical symptoms kick in. Aches, pains, tiredness, exacerbation of my asthma and flu-like grottiness. I always have vitamins C and D at hand as well as a magnesium supplement.

I'm the same as knackeredcat, my sensory overload becomes physical symptoms. My main one is sheer exhaustion. I get joint aches too.
Could you be facing a bit of burnout?

Could you be facing a bit of burnout?

I don't think I ever recovered from the burnout I first started with two years ago. I'm feeling every difficulty and emotion in my body.

I'm sorry others are feeling the same way. I think we're prone to it.

@BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation I have felt like this since the menopause started, the brainfog doesn't help and epilepsy can cause cognitive difficulties (I need time to think and answer questions)
which is no fun at all. All of a sudden one becomes slow and achy (not to mention chin hairs and other horrors!)

I usually feel more with-it in the Summer and we use a lot of daylight lamps around the house in Winter.

I have regular blood tests because amongst other things I get potassium shortages because of some of the tablets I take (need to see GP about that again), My epilepsy meds cause low sodium (hyponatraemia) and I was hospitalised for that last year. Not a pleasant surprise.

I also take magnesium tablets and 5Htp supplements.

Yeah...

Sleeps at bottom of thread.

Mine is from my hashimotos disease I think. Sometimes I feel like I'm wading through treacle and struggle to climb the stairs.
The brain fog is the worst though. I hate feeling like I can't think.
