Hi, I am an atheist but visiting Dubai in December. I am planning to visit the grand mosque in Abu Dhabi.

Myself and my 2 daughters require religious wear to enter and I would like any suggestions on what would be appropriate and any online retailers I could purchase from?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Not been to that specific mosque but I have visited a few others, including one in Casablanca, which is very grand.
I wore loose trousers and a long sleeved shirt and an oridinary scarf that I put over my hair.
Are you sure you need actual religious wear?

As long as you cover your arms, legs and hair, you should be fine - eg a maxi dress and leggings or loose trousers with long-sleeved shirt. If you'd like to try an abaya (which feels lovely to wear), you can shop online at TAC (The Abaya Company) or Aab. You will also need to cover your hair, but a lot of mosques do provide scarves for non-Muslims. Enjoy your holiday!

The mosque in Abu Dhabi, has a one point entry where they scan you airport style and assess clothing. If you need more they provide cloaks and scarves.

Generally speaking, anything loose that covers arms, legs and chest should be fine, plus a scarf to cover hair. Maxi dresses are great in the heat too. If you're looking for inspiration, maybe check out websites like https://aabcollection.com/ but you can buy maxi dresses and layers in loads of high street places too.

I hope you have a great time - I've not visited there myself but it looks beautiful!

We visited this mosque in January, it is beautiful and a wonderful experience. There is a whole underground shopping mall you have to walk through through before you reach the mosque and I just bought a headscarf there. I put my hair in a ponytail as it's easier to wear a headscarf then and you're not worrying about hair falling out.
I wore a black maxi skirt with black T-shirt and took a cardigan to put on when I got there.
As PP have said, there is security to pass through and they will let you know if your clothing is not appropriate.

I would also suggest buying your tickets online as you can fill out all your info then as well.

We've been to this one. You don't need to wear anything specific like an abaya but you do need to be covered modestly. So wear a loose wide leg trouser or long skirt/ dress and make sure cleveage/ arms are covered. So just a long sleeved top/ Cardi/ shawl draped around. And a scarf just placed on your head. That more than sufficient. Enjoy.
