I've recently bought the CD and still think it's brilliant music. I had it on tape at university and loved it then. Fabulous backing band and Jimmy Somerville's lovely high, strong voice.

Anybody else as old as I am?!

Don't leave me this way....

Yes, I love them too .

Me too!!

"there's more to love than boy meets girl" .

I once had lunch with the one who is now a vicar.

I'm even older -I remember Bronski Beat

Also, one of my 'claims to fame' is that I once went clubbing with Jimmy Somerville and one of the backing musicians, Sally.

Aaah, fond memories of my younger years

bibbity -you stole my thunder by getting in with your claim to fame first

Which one is now a vicar? What was he like?

And what was Jimmy like?

Oh I love them too. I too remember Bronski Beat
I once sat next to JS on a plane back from Greece- he was lovely.

Richard coles is the vicar- he had dark hair and spectacles.

The clubbing night was back in the late 80s so memory is a bit hazy but I seem to remember him being really lovely and chatty.

We were in a gay club in central London and I was gobsmacked at the OTT outfits (not to mention what I walked in on in the ladies loos )

Isn't it all a long time ago!

Richard Coles - that's it.

Well, he was a very out and proud gay man. We had lunch at a gay cafe near Tottenham Court Road tube station with a mutual friend, it was called First Out. I think its still there. But, yes, loads of campness and outrageous poof jokes. It was in the 80s long before he found God.
