A stupid question for regular gig goers.

I'm going to see AC/DC in June, on the last day of their tour.

While I'd be happy to see them under any circumstances, I'm curious to know if anyone has seen any band/singer on the last date of their tour and how good they were, particuarly if you've seen them before?

I know they'll be great but I'm wondering if they won't be quite as good as they would have been halfway through the tour, that they'll be burned out. Or perhaps they'll be at their best giving their all as it's the last night.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

IME bands I have seen have always put more in for the last one. maybe a bit hoarse, but def put on a really good show.
i used to regularly follow a band about and go to most of the dates on each tour, so got to see them at tghe beginning, middle and end and the last ones were always good

Thankyou. That's very reassuring. I know they'll be awesome anyway, I was just wondering how awesome, as anyone would be tired out after a year of touring.

the last one is always a bit special

With shows that big it rarely makes a jot of difference: everything is so planned and fine-tuned that almost nothing differs from night to night. AC/DC are great live, though.

It's a myth that last nights are always special. I've seen some shockers, including
a) one band breaking up on stage
b) another band sending out a roadie to sing on the encore
c) one singer self-harming on stage

At the end of long tours, bands who aren't so big (like AC/DC) that all their needs are taken care of are often on the brink of nervous breakdowns.
