There was this song that was all over the radio when I was 9/10 and I can't for the life of me remember what it was called! They were similar to that band that sang Steal My Sunshine and that Every Morning song, which were around the same time and there were a few similar bands at that time. It had this very haunting keyboard-type riff and I can't remember any lyrics because they went so fast, more like a rap, and I wasnt really paying attention to words at that age. Think they were American. But it was absolutely all over the place for a short time around late 1999/early 2000.

Also very odd how someone mentioned Butterfly by Crazy Town- very similar "haunting" melody and had a similar "feel" (although awful lyrics!)

There’s a fun story that I can’t remember 👵🏻

i think the crazy town fella had a 🤪 name and possibly his kids did too but I’m tired to be bothered to google.

eta did google and he died. How sad. He was called shifty shellshock 😞

I've just looked into it and it reached #3 on the UK chart. That was probably why I heard it so much at the time. I do remember the "get your arse out of bed" bit now that I think about it.

Haha I bought this single and listened to it so much! One hit wonder I think. I remember at the time I was also into a band called Tripping Daisy?! Maybe that earlier, about 96?

Anyway glad you found it xx gonna have listen again now 😍
