I’m taking my 11 year old to see Oasis and the closer the concert gets the more anxiety I feel with drunk people behind us potentially falling on us . We are going because he would be heartbroken of I didn’t take him but it’s a worry

Surely you’ll be in seats at that age? I’ve seen LG in seats and it was perfectly fine.

GellerYeller · 30/06/2025 21:18

There are usually age restrictions for standing tickets, 14 or over. Are you in seats?!There could be idiots but I’ve taken mine at that age to stadium gigs and it was fine in the seats. Security are supposed to help if you feel unsafe.

ThatCheeryCyanFatball · 01/07/2025 00:58

Yes seated it’s just suck a huge event I’m worried thanks for commenting though

Seated you’ll be completely fine

WFHmutha25 · 01/07/2025 05:06

You'll be ok if seated. Last time I saw them I just sat watching the fights in the standing section. It was grim and embarrassing. I absolutely would take my own dc to watch them seated, I wouldn't foresee any problems there.

MayaPinion · 01/07/2025 05:28

If you’re seated it will be great. Big gigs like these are usually actively and well managed - they run very smoothly. You will likely see lots of parents with children in the seated areas - children who have grown up listening to their parents favourite bands and who now love them too. It will be something he’ll remember he did with you for the rest of his life.

Whereismypurse · 01/07/2025 05:33

Personally I think there will be more drunk people / trouble when the concert is ended getting home on the tube etc. I’m going with my children (husband booked it)

HelloNeighbour2021 · 01/07/2025 06:10

I am also taking my 9 and 12 year old, I'm sure we will be fine.

WhyWouldAnyone · 01/07/2025 06:13

I've been to a fair few gigs I'm my time (including Oasis) - never had or seen anyone fall on top of someone else.

Untery · 01/07/2025 06:23

I know how you feel op. We are taking dc too. I think I hadn’t really thought it through properly when we bought the tickets. And now all the talk online about how it will be full of middle age drunk men is worrying me. Even Edinburgh council had a meeting where the minutes were leaked saying it was expected to be a rowdy concert.
the responses on here are reassuring me though. Glad to hear others are taking dc

WFHmutha25 · 01/07/2025 06:32

I think you could plan to leave early.

BigDahliaFan · 01/07/2025 08:03

Enjoy it, you’ll be fine seated. And just know how you are getting home. It’ll be well stewarded.

ThatCheeryCyanFatball · 01/07/2025 09:35

Thank you everyone

Don’t panic! I’ve been to loads of oasis gigs and you’ll be fine in seated. Everyone looks out for each other & is super friendly, I promise!

PeggyMitchellsCameo · 01/07/2025 09:53

You will be absolutely fine seated and there will be quite an age range. It’s only close to the stage where it gets a bit hectic.
You are both going to have a fantastic time. Or should I say…. biblical!

BurntBroccoli · 05/07/2025 13:41

Hopefully you won’t be too near the front. I’ve seen some footage from Cardiff where loads of plastic cups of wee were thrown backwards by some of those at the front. Obviously they’d been there many hours and didn’t want to lose their place at the stage.
Grim 🤢.

ThatCheeryCyanFatball · 05/07/2025 16:43

Everything was fine my boy loved it and I worried for nothing
