The Clash were the absolute best ever

fizzbuzz · 23/05/2008 20:46

Yes, my vote is for the Clash. followed by The Ramones.....then The Jesus and Mary Chain (or were they too gothy??)

fizzbuzz · 23/05/2008 21:05

Does this count?. What a handsome devil!

ranting · 23/05/2008 21:09

Oh Snaf have just fallen completely in love with you for your 'songs about fucking' contribution, I love that album, it is a classic.
And here is my contribution to this thread.

fizzbuzz · 23/05/2008 21:17

I rememeber "a song about fucking", but can't remember who sang it. Can anyone enlighten me. It went..."Do you love me? Well, I fuck you don't I?"

ranting · 23/05/2008 21:21

Big Black (steve albini was the lead singer) did the album 'Songs about Fucking' Their most well known song is probably Keroscene.

Are you thinking of the song 'Too drunk to fuck'? That was the Dead Kennedys, I think.

Wezzle · 23/05/2008 21:27

That was The Mac Lads fizz

they were fab

fizzbuzz · 23/05/2008 21:29

Could have been..can't remember...it's all a bit of a haze

I do remember this though The Slits

ranting · 23/05/2008 21:29

But just because I love it anyway too drunk to fuck by the Dead Kennedys.

As you can tell, am shite at interpreting song words.

fizzbuzz · 23/05/2008 21:33

Christ! Yeah I remember that Dead Kennedy's one, it was fab..all that energy! Do bands still do stuff like that these days?

Wezzle · 23/05/2008 21:39

talking of fucking.......buzzcocks anyone?

ranting · 23/05/2008 21:39

Loved the Slits, Ari Ups mum is married to Johnny Lydon, isn't she.

ranting · 23/05/2008 21:41

'Orgasm Addict, you're an orgasm addict'

fizzbuzz · 23/05/2008 21:51

Not to everyones's taste, but I LOVED these
The Cramps

ranting · 23/05/2008 21:54

Ah I loved the Cramps, Human Fly was my favourite.

fizzbuzz · 23/05/2008 21:57

The dance to that was just bizarre (If lying on your back and waving arms and legs round in fly like manner is called a dance..) Also dancing to "The Way I Walk" seemed to involve some weird twisting movement (or was I just young and pissed?)

MargaretMountford · 23/05/2008 23:43

oh the Slits !! saw them several times

Arabica · 24/05/2008 00:16
