Pls help with buying a piano

I need to get a piano for 9 year old DS who is approaching grade 1 standard. It looks like he is has some ability but mainly enjoys playing the piano. So far he’s only been able to practise at school.

I know nothing about pianos and this looked like a good option.

Would really appreciate a view from musical people. TIA!

We got a Casio for half the price (recommended by 2 friends who are music teachers) and DD is doing fine with it (grade 4 now).

Thanks @parietal, that sounds very interesting. I don’t suppose you could link to / give details of the one you have?

Following as we're looking to get a piano (for me as well as DS really though I'm more a singer than a pianist.)

Are you looking at electric for a particular reason? Even though they’re weighted keys it’s different to playing an acoustic piano.

this one

not very grand but fine for a beginner.

we got adjustable height legs too which is useful for a child - most are too high.

Do you definitely want an electric one...?
