Hi. I found out im pregnant in decemeber but got it confirmed from midwive that she thinks im about 10 weeks gone. But i was wondering if you can go to music concerts while pregnant, my partner got me tickets to go see my favourite band for christmas and the concert isnt until 2nd of feburary. So if someone could inform me about this that would be great.
Thank you

Is there a reason why you wouldn't be able to go? I can't think of any reason why it would be a problem.

It might have helped if you had said who the band is!

The only possible reason why you might NOT attend a concert is that if it was 'heavy metal' and SO LOUD and the bass frequencies so intense that they could disturb baby, and even damage her ears. But, unless you are using ear protection yourself, you would probably be rendered deaf before baby hears.

Our DS was a few months prior to birth, when we went to a Buddy Rich Big Band Concert, and he did react a bit, having a few kicks, but because he enjoyed it, I have always thought! And he did grow up to be very good at music himself.

In case you are TOO YOUNG to know Buddy Rich, I give some links:

I was 5 months pregnant with DD when I performed in a musical, stood in the band pit (I was the voice of the plant in Little Shop of Horrors) as the band absolutely thrashed out these songs through massive speakers. DD loved it, kicking away constantly, and is now almost 2 and perfectly healthy (and very musical).

Enjoy the concert! :)

Thank you for the advice, the band is called neck deep and they generic punk which isnt too heavy like metal. I wasnt too sure so i sold my ticket anyway to a friend, who will enjoy it more. My partner didnt want me to go to risk it.

Thank you again
