anyone ever sold ticketmaster tickets on ebay?

I have tickets for peter kay and cant go. Bought them thru ticketmaster so no refund or exchange possible. they have some sort of official ticket exchange where they sell them for you but only for certain venues and events and not this one. I see there are quite a few for sale on ebay. Call me naieve but i thought that was against the conditions and tickets could be invalidated? Most people are understandably vague about the seat nos, giving only the area or row but some actually quote the actual seat nos. could ticketmaster not cancel these tickets? Or is it not worth their bother and is it just 'false threats'? anyone with any experience of buying or selling like this? thanks

I know someone who has sold via Ebay. For face value. But if you don't fancy that try, I think, Seetickets. (will check) But it's a site where you can legitimately sell your tickets. Also, Gumtree?

Think it's Seatwave where you can sell them

I've sold Seetickets tickets on ebay before. I didn't even have them in hand, just the booking confirmation. If there's nothing on the tickets to link them to you, like a name, then it should be perfectly safe to sell them on ebay, especially as others are doing it.

Thanks all, will give it some more thought

I have bought and sold loads of ticketmaster tickets on ebay.

At certain events, the person who bought the tickets must attend and show the credit card they used for booking, but this is extremely rare.

When selling, just give the row, not the seat number - you will be fine. Make sure tickets are posted out special delivery with a tracking number too.

Alternatively, gumtree is also good and there will be no fees to pay. I meet in a public place and hand over the tickets and get cash in return - have never had a problem.

Malovitt, are you a tout?

No, certainly not!

I just have friends who tend to be all enthusiastic about going to certain gigs, I get a few tickets for us all (as they can't get online at 9am when tickets go on sale) and then they let me down at the last moment - no childcare, too tired, too skint. I only ask for face value when I sell them and don't make a profit.

Recently, I have been buying just one ticket for myself and going on my own if need be.

getmein.com in run by ticket master. It's for selling tickets

Ok, sorry, it just sounded like it when you said you bought and sold a lot of tickets. I've sold a few this year for similar reasons to you. In future if friends want me to get tickets, they can pay me for them upfront and then if they can't go they can sell them themselves. Tough but fair Grin
