Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew about this place which is offering to do PIP evidence reports for a fee?

They also do counselling and can add on the report for an additional fee.

Anyone used this and how did it go? Thanks

I wouldn't pay for something like this when there are welfare departments at your local council or citizens advice or even the charity for your particular disability who will do them for free.

If you've tried accessing those first but they are too busy then maybe as a last resort for those who cannot do it without support.

What's the counselling for though? General counselling that you can access through your GP, or because some people find the pip process stressful/traumatic?

Sorry OP, I know it's not what you asked but I'm just very suspicious of things that should be free being monitorised by companies, applying for passports being one of them.

No, that's OK. I know what you mean. I myself are quite cynical about it all which is why I asked.

I have heard of places like "Fightback" I think it is taking a cut of the PIP or something, for example.

I just noticed someone on a forum had used this Disability plus report and managed to get a paper based assessment which sounded good as I find it all so stressful.

It's all quite expensive though, I think. £100 extra for the PIP report if paying £180 for the counselling, but £300 if not.

Op citizen advice bureau do free advice sessions. Also there might be a benefits advisor in your local community ? Good luck x also could you ask your GP for a letter with your illness/es on? I used that for my pip claim and citizen advice helped me fill out the form for

Do not pay for Fightback. There are lots of Facebook groups that will give you exactly the same files and advice for free - search for PIP in the groups.

Thanks, GP website says they don't do letters for PIP. They did fill in a form when asked by PIP last review but only the names of the conditions. Still got the PIP though. Just annoying about the time frame as soon need to review again. and it all takes forever.

Benefits and work is also good and cheap, and I hear good things about a site called Money and mental health advice, something like that anyway. CAB have diary templates as do B&W

Contact your local council for their welfare department as they are a "hidden gem" in services. Some have been there for donkeys years and know all the ins and outs of various forms.

I had one that had been working in welfare for 30 years so knew practically everything . He actually did a home visit to fill in the form, copied it (make sure you do this!!) and posted it for me. A real sweetheart. Based on information from his first report several years ago I have managed to fill in all reviews by myself which has been an added bonus.
