Pram and baby items recommendations for mum with mobility issues

Please can anyone help,

I have multiple disabilities, i use a crutch on a daily bases when out due to knee and back pain, and on bad days I use a rollator, I get random dizzy spells also and need to stop suddenly and let that pass. I have never needed the aids to put my full weight on just to take a bit of pressure off or to steady myself.

My last child is now 17 and the pram I had for him was a second hand import from the states and I can't at all remember what it was, it was bulky and heavy but it workd perfect for my needs and I'd love to find something similar.

So I'm due this baby soon and we are really struggling to find a decent pram, if I am out alone the parm is effectively going to replace the crutch /Rollator so needs to be very sturdy, good breaks and not so easy to tip!

We tryed a few last week and really liked the silver cross reef 2 I could walk around with it in the shop and lean on it etc I personally liked the textured handle of the special edition rather than the normal reef due to sensory issues!

But would anyone else have any other recommendations for a pram, with maybe not as high price tag as the silver cross lol, size doesn't matter to much as we have a large car.

Also any recommendations for cots /swings, baths etc that won't require me to be on the floor or bending over to much please, (we are extremely limited to space in the house and bedroom etc :( )

Baby due in 7 weeks and we are not at all prepared, I'm starting to panic 😅!!!

Please if you have any recommendations or advice, I would love to hear it :)

Thank you

Stokke Tripp trapp high chair. You can buy a newborn seat for it so it’s like a high up baby seat for 0-6 months. Might be handy in kitchen and at table whilst you eat so less bending down

bugaboo prams turn very easily, well balanced against tipping and the break is up high. The Fox or fox cub are newer models, but it’s been around for ages so up can also find loads secondhand. They have one of the largest carrycots so can use much longer for daytime naps also. I think the newer ones are approved for overnight sleep also but you should check

Have you had a look at the out n about little nipper range at all? I have the v5. It’s 3 wheels and incredibly easy to turn and steer. It’s very sturdy and has height adjustable handles with foam so no slipping. It’s suitable from newborn and with the carrycot I think the overall cost is less than the reef 2. The rain hood is huge on it too so if you feel unwell out and about and have to stop that could come in handy. It is quite chunky compared to typical prams but it’s all I use now.

second the Stokke Tripp trapp high chair with the newborn insert. Really good quality and you can pick up ones in excellent condition second hand too (I did)

good luck!

Thank you, we had looked at the out and about in the shop, I can't remember why we didnt choose it as an option tho. I will look into the tripp trapps, I will have to find a bugaboo fox to try and have a push about, thank you for the recommendation :)

Uppababy vistas are pretty solid heavy duty, (North American brand) and second hand easy to get for £150.

Really good basket access too.

If you feel the cold, JoJo mamas pram mittens. The cheaper ones. Really easy to get hands in and out of and good wrist coverage.

Slight curve ball, but I’d say reusable wipes. You get a much better clean per wipe so much less fiddling around.

Ikea Len changing mat - they’re like a thin table cloth. Put over table and change on a proper height table as much as possible.
