Hi I'm a disabled mum and I have complex health problems, none mentle or phisicle, I'm bed bound and wheelchair bound. I'm not able to get a disabled property as council say although I'm highest priority categorie a and have been for 3 years now ,there just isn't any houses. So I'm stuck I'm a 2 bed ground floor maisonette. I have left my ex partner the kids dad , as I was in a domestic violence relationship. he also was my carer and stole my meds , he was verbally abusive and phisicly aswel sometimes. he also was the same to my kids I av 2 boys with learning disabilities, 7 nd 5 years old. 1 with a genetic disorder the same as me. Since this has happened social services have threatened to take the boys off me as my family can't help as much as they would like. my question is I've been told by some people that child social services have a duty to help disabled mums to help look after there kids. please if any1 can help or advice, I do have a solicitor, but she hasn't mentioned about what my rights are. I feel like I'm being punished for protecting my kids, and having the strength to kick him out. but then I get threatened with having my kids took off me . Just because I'm disabled and not able to parent on my own. I have adult social worker who has helped get me a package of care for my needs . They also help with the kids. But they said this bit children's social services should be doing.

I'm sorry that you are going through this
Would your MP help or maybe start looking for some human rights solicitors
I hope this helps.

You need to ask social services for a carers assessment for yourself.
