Why is there no compensation for disability payment applicants

If they’ve been told to deny as many cases as possible and the claimant has to fight and even go to tribunal because they make it as difficult as possible to claim, and there have been errors shown in the process, why are the claimants not routinely given compensation? I have recently had my reconsideration rejected, I read as far as their letter to me which stated my needs hadn’t changed and didn’t read their nonsense any further, and the next step is tribunal, which I really don’t have the energy for

Compensation for what? The claim is backdated

@ZanyPombear I totally agree. It's revolting the trauma already unwell and struggling people are put through

I feel dehumanised and worthless when I list everything that’s wrong with me in great length, when I have it rejected I then feel like a liar or wonder if my symptoms really are that bad. I put so much effort into my application and now I think what was the point

Which is no good when you (as I did when transferring from DLA to PIP) do have extra costs that you can't skimp on.

Something does need to be done to force them to get the decision right the first time around.
