Dyslexia in Adults

Over the last couple of years I've noticed I'd sometimes say the wrong word: either the wrong word from a similar context (e.g. stairs vs lift) or two completely unrelated words that start with the same letter (e.g. supermarket vs shopping centre).
Over the last few months I noticed I have a problem with writing. I've become increasingly dyslexic and it's particularly noticeable with words that sound similar/same but are written differently (e.g bye vs buy, where's vs whereas). I never ever had this problem before, ever, and I've been blaming it on low ferritin but tbh this is bothering me more than ever. I want to make plans which would mean further studying and I can't get past the fact I can't seem to write properly anymore. I also feel like I struggle with easy simple things like cleaning/cooking so end up being online in order to avoid doing anything that entails moving.
Have you ever heard of becoming dyslexic? I can't find much online as it's always a given the person's born that way, not that they become so. What are your thoughts on this (besides going to the GP). My GP isn't particularly great tbh as she's stuck on: lose the extra weight, go for walks and eat more veggies -she literally can't advise beyond that.
Also, I have low ferritin and have developed several food intolerances, namely to dairy and I took a lot of iron a year ago which messed up my stomach.

You can develop dyslexia and other neurological problems from serious head injuries.
have you tried what your GP has suggested?

I hurt my foot and it took me longer to see to it because the GP said that's nothing (without looking at it) and now I have to see a specialist because I can't walk without pain so going on walks isn't a real possibility, but I still walk around. I spent last summer supplementing my intake of veggies by putting them into smoothies and my ferritin still went down. The weight has gone down slowly and stopped going up when I stopped the dairy.
I don't remember having had a serious head injury. I did hit my head here and there when my ferritin was very low but I don't think it was anything serious enough to cause such an injury. Bloody heck, maybe I should see a neurologist.
