Can anyone recommend a good pair? Adult size since dd is 15. She is struggling with sensory overload.

Thank you!

I have misophonia and tinnitus and my adult DD has ASD

DD doesn't like wearing headphones in public as they are very visible.
I have these, particularly for the padded headband as I find a lot of over the head types have a hard band that I am very conscious of on the top of my head - maybe I have a pointed head Grin

The only downside I've experienced is I couldn't hear cars coming when I was about to cross the road. I'd not realised how much I relied on my hearing to do that as well as looking, so I'm now doubly careful when wearing them.

UK suppliers via amazon etc.

DD is very happy to wear Flare Calmers

They don't block out all noise, they somehow tone it down so it's not as overwhelming or irritating. There are lots of positive reviews on their website from autistic people.

And they now do coloured ones.

They have a 25% off sale in January, so if you'r interested, don't delay. They also have a good money-back guarantee.

DD has the mini night ones which are small and slightly softer which she finds more comfortable and they are her first choice for daywear. Her second choice are the standard size calmers. Home is fairly quiet but building work nearby seems to be somehow much less irritating when wearing them.

I like the ordinary calmers and am currently wearing the Pro ones but haven't had chance to evaluate them with the standard ones as yet.
I have no affiliation to the company, all I can say is the Calmers have literally made DD's life bearable in noisy situations.
