@Roseformeplease

Done - but an observation. All of your questions supposed that the idea of "Trick or Treating" comes from America. In fact, in Scotland, kids go "guising" (as in disguised) and go round to houses, not to play a trick in return for a treat, but to do a short performance - usually a joke or a song.

Thus, I am very much in support of this (very old) tradition - much less so of the idea that, if you don't feed the kids, they will do some damage, as practised elsewhere.

I just think this should be noted.

Thank you Roseformeplease and also TheScottishPlay, museumum , and YesILikeItToo who all posted about "guising".

Sorry that the survey didn't include "guising". We have indeed made a note of all that you've said, and we will bear it in mind when we get the survey results (plus any comments we get about this in the '"other" boxes on the survey).

Thanks
MNHQ

done, but question 5 needs a 'none of the above' option

I hate trick or treating. Our house gets egged every year. No idea why we sit inside with no decorations minding our own business.
We are generally nice and get on well with all our neighbours.

Done. Our whole street does it :)

Done

Where I live now it's definitely for young kids taken with parents only to houses with decorations, so it's quite fun (takes about half an hour, three streets, get home, have a treat, brush teeth and bed). Teenagers might try a house of people they knew but otherwise stay in.

Where I lived before I didn't have kids but if you were out later you might get caught in crossfire of teens having egg fights and playing tricks - very different!

Done. I love Halloween!

Snog · 04/10/2016 07:56

It's a cute concept but too slow and boring with not enough emphasis on the photos

All done
