The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust has asked us to find out what Mumsnetters think about children's eye health.

Please take a few minutes to complete this short survey. It is open to all UK Mumsnetters with at least one child aged 0-6 years.

If you have more than one child aged 0-6 please think about your eldest child aged 0-6 when answering the questions.

Everyone who takes part and enters their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw to win £200 of Marks & Spencer vouchers.

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

MrsRhettButler · 14/05/2011 23:03

Yes - if you'd like to know more - the link to the charity website is in the OP, please look at it after you've done the survey though as we'd like to know what you think before now!

They also say you can email [email protected] if you'd like a support worker to answer any questions or concerns about the condition/ eye health in children. MNHQ

Done. Grin

Sorry about the essay about why I took DS to optitions Blush. We are a family of glasses wearers I'm afraid.

On a good note though DS saw optitions the other day who is going to check him again in 6 months and may start to lower the perscription in his glasses. He may not need them in the future. Grin

Done. The first, and only time I've heard about childhood eye cancer was from a thread on MN Grin (cue DH's regular call of "Is that something else you've learnt on Mumsnet?")

trixymalixy · 15/05/2011 22:50

Done, I also first heard about eye cancer on mumsnet

I'm glad this is being bought to people's attention. We had a scare with 3 month old DS a week ago. Luckily he is fine, but could so easily have not been. The consultant said that white reflex should ALWAYS be checked out urgently.
