NOW CLOSED: Please take this one question poll and (perhaps) improve antenatal services for all

Mumsnet and University College London are working together to apply for a grant to help make antenatal services better for all.

We need your feedback on what is important - and, no pressure - ideally we need 1000 responses in the next 36 hours so we can prepare the feedback before the next round of interviews on Monday. All you need to do is answer one quick question

This (very) mini poll is open to all parents and parents to be in the UK.

Sorry no vouchers for a lucky winner this time: just our eternal thanks (and perhaps better antenatal care Smile).
Thanks
MNHQ

Done - although I agree about being treated like an intelligent adult. And for metrnity staff not to think that, because I have a certain postcode, I smoked and had the IQ of a fishfinger.

Agree cicatrice. I had a specialist take my blood and I didn't feel a thing! But the midwives bloody hurt. I commented on it and he said they didn't know how to do it properly.

done!

theyoungvisiter · 16/09/2010 14:09

done but the questions are really odd. I felt like they were designed to fit in with pre-defined objectives rather than to actually find out what women wanted from antenatal care.

Surely you already have a personalised health record - ie your notes?

And what on earth does "power to change services as a community rather than an individual" actually mean when it's at home?

I think the questions were about what this Internet based system that they are designing could do to improve experiences, rather than a more general 'what is wrong with maternity care' which is a whole different ball game!

Done. Yes, I think you did have to be careful that you were responding to how an Internet based system could improve an care- thus my answers were quite specific to limitations of Internet ( eg better suited to giving you access to electronic patient records) More communication with named mw would be better but don't think Internet is best medium. Much prefer how I had a couple of mobile numbers I could call

Physio appointments for all at your home after the birth - like in France - would be a jolly good thing imo

FattyArbuckel · 16/09/2010 17:01

although if I read the thread properly it would be obvious they are not deliverable by internet
