Do you or a family member have sensitive skin? Sign up to test Surcare sensitive laundry detergent

We are looking for 150 UK Mumsnetters to test Surcare’s sensitive laundry detergent. The test is open to users with a child under the age of 4, and with at least one family/household member who has sensitive skin. The Surcare range is specially formulated with sensitive skin in mind and contains 0% fragrance, acids, enzymes, or dyes. All Surcare’s products have also received the Allergy UK Seal of Approval.

Here’s what Surcare has to say: “We are excited for Mumsnetters to try our sensitive laundry detergent as although we have been around for over 30 years and have a really loyal customer base, we want to spread the Surcare secret far and wide! With eczema cases rising more than 40% in just four years*, we knew we had a responsibility to educate people about some of the chemicals and fragrances found in their washing products. This is particularly relevant when you consider that the onset of eczema and other skin conditions often begins in infancy, so protecting delicate baby skin is crucial. We have spent 30 years perfecting our family of cleaning products so that you can do the everyday with less worry. People often think they’re compromising when they use ‘sensitive’ products, however our range has great cleaning power even on cool and quick washes. We really hope you enjoy using it and can’t wait to hear what you think.”

Selected testers will either receive Surcare’s sensitive laundry capsules or Surcare’s sensitive laundry liquid (both £5.25) to test out on the family laundry, plus Surcare’s fabric conditioner and washing up liquid (both £1.25). We will then ask testers to leave their feedback via a thread on Mumsnet and a short survey. All testers who give the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £100 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Please sign up here if you are interested in taking part.

Thanks and good luck!

Singed up. Thanks.

DH and DD are really suffering badly with their eczema at the moment. So I'm keen to try anything.

I would love to test this! I have eczema and sensitive skin and my little boy who turns 2 this month also suffers the same as me and we're struggling to calm it down.

I've not signed up for the trial as we are already loyal customers. My husband has particular sensitivities to dyes and fragrances so we've used surcare for nearly 20 years. We use the laundry powder and washing up liquid, he finds he still has a reaction to liquid in the laundry for some reason. Not as bad a reaction as he has to other products but not as good as the powder which gives no reaction at all. Great stuff.

I have tried this and it irritated my dd. I put it down to the optical brighteners. Does Surcare still have optical brighteners?

theneverendinglaundry · 04/04/2021 10:36

Is it tested on animals? I am looking for something for sensitive skin but am trying to shift all my purchases to cruelty free.

would love to test this if it is still available my daughter suffers from atopic exzema and still trying to find a laundry product that helps her skin from flaring up.
