Strong Roots has asked us to find 120 Mumsnet users with a child aged 3 or over to try their new children’s range, Little Roots. Selected testers will be sent vouchers for three products from the range in exchange for giving feedback, and may receive a voucher for a fourth product in exchange for feedback at a later date.

Here’s what Strong Roots has to say: “Turn vegetable nay-sayers into vegetable yay-sayers with Little Roots. Made from the freshest vegetables, with no added nasties. Little Roots helps you give your family all the goodness they need to fuel their daily adventures.

With 3 veggies in every bite: they’re low in saturated fat, low in sugar, and all-importantly a great source of fibre. Best of all, they’ll be the tastiest little veg-bombs in your freezer and ready in just 14 minutes in the oven. Hungry tummies made happy fast.

We believe in great, plant-based food that makes life easier. Our passion for great food is rooted in working with the best producers from all over the world, and we care about the ingredients inside you and our recipes.

We’re very proud of our roots and every day they inspire us to bring the best tasting, best quality, and most responsible products to the world and you.”

More details on the individual products within the range can be found below:

Pea & Lemon Minis
Gloriously green inside, these pea-packed minis have a zingy lemon kick and a crunchy carrot and beetroot crumb for an added hit of colour.

Crunchy Corn & Carrot Chunks
An irresistible pairing of corn and carrot with a corn semolina crumb. We can guarantee you’ll be stealing them off your kids plates.

Sweet Potato & Butternut Nuggets
Butternut squash, parsnip, and sweet potato come together in all their naturally sweet glory to make these comforting nuggets, with a corn semolina crumb and just the slightest hint of cinnamon.

White Root Vegetable Bites (to be tested at a later date)
A combination of cauliflower, parsnip, and celeriac with a crunchy carrot crumb that’s so yummy you won’t believe how healthy they are.

If you’re interested in taking part, please click here to sign up. All selected testers who give feedback via a short survey and a feedback thread on the Mumsnet site will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Oooh, I love Strong Roots food! Definitely entering this in the hope that my children will enjoy them as much as me...and I’ll feel like a better mum for feeding them something that isn’t chicken nuggets for a change ;-)

Would love to chosen for my 4 children over who are over 3 , it’s something different they not tried before 🤞🏼

My little ones love their veggies and this would be a great way to offer them a convenient, tasty and healthy meal accompaniment. Lack of texture can be an issue with veggie products so it's great to see Little Roots are adding some to theirs. Would definitely like to try these products.

Done, this would be great as my eldest two have asked about going vegan (already vegetarian) and we discussed it together as a family and agreed to give it a go but it's their project and they are researching meal options, health versus cost and convenience etc, and helping to cook. It's become a sort of home school project and this would fit in perfectly
