  • Overall, what were your thoughts on the Luvabella doll? What did you think of her reactions and expressions?

Originally my husband and I did think the doll looked a little strange I think due to the rubber face. However once she was switched on and became animated we soon forgot this. Her reactions and expressions were great and nothing I had seen in a doll before.

  • How did your child interact with their Luvabella doll and her accessories?
My daughter loved the accessories including the hair band! She commented that she had things a real baby needed. She cuddled her, put her in her doll pram, gave her a nap etc. Really did provide quality and lengthy play. Even when she switched it off, she still gave it hugs and kisses as she watched tv etc.

What was their favourite thing about Luvabella?
She loves the peekaboo game and the tickle function. She did want to give her a bath but understood she couldn't. She really enjoyed the baby babbling away as they had pretend conversations.

  • Did your child display any nurturing behaviours whilst playing with their doll? If so, what were they?
Yes. Lots of cudddling. Her little sister was actally born during the trial and she would mimic things I did eg swaddling the doll, burping etc. She also ensured an adult was keeping an eye on the doll if she left the room. She was very gentle with the doll and spoke to it much more than she does her other dolls.
  • Would you recommend Luvabella to a friend or family member? If so, why? If not, why not
Hmmm..... It really is a lovely doll with great play possibilities. My daughter enjoyed playing with the doll and 'teaching' her new words etc. I particularly liked that it comes in different skin tones and the French function is an added bonus! However being able to hear the mechanics was a bit of a put off and my daughter did comment that it was a robot baby. This is something i would mention to a friend before they purchased it. If this could be improved I would have no reservations.

My dd was overjoyed to receive do a luvabella doll and test it out. Here's our feedback.

Overall, what were your thoughts on the Luvabella doll? What did you think of her reactions and expressions?

As frequently mentioned the doll seems quite heavy at first it understandable given the robotics involved in operating her. We also thought her rubbery hair was a bit strange but soon got used to it and loved her for who she is. Her expressions were great and very obvious as to the emotion conveys.

How did your child interact with their Luvabella doll and her accessories? What was their favourite thing about Luvabella?

Dd adored the doll from the off and was amazed when she was powered on as to her movements. She loved using the dummy and bottle most although the time taken for her to start eating would frustrate her but she's learnt to be patient and wait for a reaction which can't be a bad thing.

Did your child display any nurturing behaviours whilst playing with their doll? If so, what were they?

Certainly. She wrapped her up in a blanket and was very careful in how she handled her. She loved taking her to bed at night and putting her down in a little dolls bed. Enjoyed sitting on the sofa and cuddling her too.

Would you recommend Luvabella to a friend or family member? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would definitely recommend the doll. Although the price point is quite high, she does far more then dolls that are not much cheaper. It helps a lot with attention and awareness of what a baby needs.

My dd adores the doll and think she will still be in favour for a little while yet.

Overall, what were your thoughts on the Luvabella doll? What did you think of her reactions and expressions?

My first reaction when I saw the doll was that it was quiet creepy looking and heavy, however ds absolutely loved it from the very first glance
He liked the way how you could feed it and how it would open its mouth to be fed

  • How did your child interact with their Luvabella doll and her accessories? What was their favourite thing about Luvabella?

DS loved to feed luvabeau and found it interesting how the doll would open its mouth to be fed
He enjoyed giving the doll the dummy and putting it to sleep at bedtime

  • Did your child display any nurturing behaviours whilst playing with their doll? If so, what were they?
Yes he very much enjoyed cuddling luvabeau and even tried winding him

We even took luvabeau out on our car journeys as we couldn't leave him home alone
DS would rock him in his baby brothers car seat

  • Would you recommend Luvabella to a friend or family member? If so, why? If not, why not?
It is quiet expensive but it's not your standard doll it was quiet an interesting one, however for the targeted age I found the doll to be quiet heavy Furthermore I had other neices and nephews who came over who were scared of the doll So it all depends on the child One last thing I noticed was a lot of hair and fluff would stick to the rubbery material on the face of luvabeau which was hard to take off

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to test out this doll, which I probably would not have done otherwise due to the price
