We want to make Mumsnet as relevant, useful and interesting as possible to parents, so we’d love to speak to a few of you and get some feedback on Mumsnet in general.

We’re looking for parents who are under the age of 35, who’d be interested in giving 30 minutes of their time to have an informal phone chat with someone from the Mumsnet team.

Everyone who is selected to take part will be given a £20 voucher as a thank you.

We’re looking for parents who are free on the following dates/times:

Monday 26th February
Tuesday 27th February
Thursday 1st March

Between 10.30am and 4pm
Or between 7.30pm and 9.30pm

Please fill in the form here if you’re interested in taking part.

Thanks,

MNHQ

buddhasbelly · 21/02/2018 10:30

FoofFighter · 21/02/2018 10:32

Why under 35?? I have a preschooler, use MN daily and am in my mid 40s. Why don't you want to know what I think?

Hmm
buddhasbelly · 21/02/2018 11:02

Because that's their sample survey criteria...

FoofFighter · 21/02/2018 11:31

well clearly yes but still worth asking why!

Hi Everyone, I'm really sorry, I was posting in a rush - the post was clumsily written. It's important to us as a business to keep attracting new parents - as well as retaining the users we already have. We value everyone's opinion but in this particular case, the brief is to find out what parents in that particular age group think. Really sorry again. PoppyMumsnet.

daisydalrymple · 21/02/2018 13:07

Sorry, but it still reads that you’re not at all interested in the opinions of us ‘older’ mums. Most ageist post I’ve read on here from MNHQ.

I’m 46, have a 3, 8 and 10 year old.

eurochick · 21/02/2018 13:17

I'm a new(ish) parent to a toddler. And 42. So you're not interested in attracting my demographic?

FoofFighter · 21/02/2018 14:10

Really disappointed MN
especially as there are probably a higher proportion of new parents over 35 that use this site than normal as you are known to attract certain types.

buddhasbelly · 21/02/2018 18:47

But (not to be rude) maybe that's the point? They can see their current client base is X age group and they're wondering what drew caregivers in that are below 35 as their hyposthesis may be that the below 35 age group are more likely to use another parenting site?

I wouldn't say it's ageist, just using the data of their age demographics and looking at attracting another demographic away from competitors?

buddhasbelly · 21/02/2018 18:49

MNHQ will this still go ahead given the current feedback?

Paie · 22/02/2018 16:11

Free for the evening times!
When/how will we be contacted if successful?
