Robinsons are looking for 100 Mumsnetters and their DCs to try out their brand new ‘Fruit Drop’ home delivery service. If you are a UK Mumsnetter with at least one child over the age of 5, click here to sign up to take part in this product test.

Here’s what Robinsons has to say: “It may surprise you to know that 72% of 5-12 year olds and 85% of UK adults do not drink the recommended 8 glasses of fluid. That’s why Robinsons is piloting a new service to help families across the country refresh, recharge and reset with a hit of real fruit in their water. Delivered straight to their door, ‘Fruit Drop’ will be bringing the UK’s favourite squash to homes across the country, helping families to enjoy more water with a variety of gulp-it-back real fruit flavour!”

Everyone who takes part will receive a crate containing three flavours of classic Robinsons Fruit Squash and three varieties of Squash’d (packs of super-concentrated portable squash). You will be required to try these out with your family to help you drink more water at home and on the move, and to leave your feedback on the ‘Fruit Drop’ home delivery service on a thread on Mumsnet.

Testers will also be asked to post pictures of their ‘Fruit Drop’ crates and their families enjoying the challenge of drinking more water on social media using the #enjoymorewater. Don’t worry if you’re not on social media though, as you can share your pictures on the feedback thread.

Everyone who leaves their feedback on the thread will also be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Please sign up here if you’d like to take part.

Thanks and good luck!

Sounds great!

luanda111 · 07/02/2017 23:11

I hope this challenge will help me persuade my kids and husband to drink more water. We love Robinsons products so we would like to accept the challenge.

Diabetes in a bottle.

I think as long as you account for the amount of sugar in squash it's fine to give children, just like anything else in moderation. My two will drink water all day and have Robinson with their evening meal. Doing this means it doesn't expose their teeth to an extra meal/sugar as it's all at the same time.

For children that really won't drink plain water, then the water added to Robinson still counts. As far as I know it's not a diuretic.

RyanStartedTheFire · 09/02/2017 16:34

Drinking squash isn't drinking more water Confused

Wilberforce2 · 09/02/2017 17:00

Diabetes in a bottle?! Maybe if you drink it neat Hmm

My kids won't drink water so if Robinsons helps get it into them then great.

Not sure why people comment on a product test post to say they won't be taking part!!

wendyonthefarm · 10/02/2017 14:02

Hope this will encourage my 11y DD to drink more fluids, I'm sure she will shrivel up soon. Smile

Pointeshoes · 11/02/2017 12:32

I've entered - need some way to get my 6 yr old son to drink more !

Angryangryyoungwoman · 11/02/2017 23:09

I have switched to Rocks squash instead after many years of drinking Robinsons because you have stopped doing the normal sugar version and I think the sugar free stuff tastes disgusting.

PickAChew · 12/02/2017 00:00

Since when has picking up a bottle of squash with you groceries been hard?

Was easy enough in the 70s when there was no online ordering and squash wasn't bad for you ;)

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely · 13/02/2017 07:55

Yum, artifical sweeteners delivered straight to your doorstep!

conserveisposhforjam · 13/02/2017 20:56

Fairly sure the whole 'eight glasses of water a day' thing is shitty science.

And yy to pps - squash isn't water.

This is a misleading shitty little campaign MN. Even the name 'fruit drop' is manipulative. Can't you get your advertisers to be a bit better?

Has anyone heard yet?

PurpleCrazyHorse · 20/02/2017 13:51

Yes, I had an email on Thursday.

Looking forward to trying some flavours we might not usually buy. The pocket squash thingies were great when I was in hospital having DS. Had a choice of flavours tucked in the cupboard drawer rather than several bottles when we were in for 3 days.

AmyInTheBoonies · 24/02/2017 16:17

MusicToMyEars800 · 24/02/2017 20:25

OFFFS I'm glad I am not the only one who just doesn't get the point in these.. if people don't like water then why not just buy a bottle of juice or flavoured water when they are out?! who would carry one of these around? seriously do not get the point in these...

MusicToMyEars800 · 24/02/2017 20:26

the point of these not in these.

wendyonthefarm · 25/02/2017 10:58

Received my crate yesterday, Smile loving the lemon and pink grapefruit, not a flavour I would of thought to try.

PurpleCrazyHorse · 27/02/2017 10:45

Got mine today. I'm presumed by we can get started drinking them.
