In September, the team at Pampers will be launching brand New Baby-Dry Pants! They’re looking for 500 MNers & their LOs to be some of the first in the country to try them & provide feedback on Mumsnet and //Pampers.co.uk.

Here is what they’ve got to say: ‘Helping a baby to learn and grow without interruption is important for their happy, healthy development. Parents know there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing their baby happily and uninterruptedly playing – it’s what they do best! Whether asleep or awake, a baby is always learning and growing, but, when they are distracted by the irritation of wetness or the disruption of a nappy change, this interrupts their experience. Nowadays pants are not just for toilet training - in fact more and more parents are telling us they prefer the pants format for everyday use because they are easy to pull on and to quickly change when their baby is happily wriggling and moving about. Our new Pampers Baby-Dry Pants are perfect for playtime, nighttime, anytime! Pampers Baby-Dry Pants have Micro Pearls™ which absorb up to 30 times their weight and lock wetness away for up to 12 hours of dryness. They also feature an All-Around Stretch waistband that adapts to all of your baby’s movements and they’re soft and breathable so your baby will stay dry and happy.’

This is open to all UK MNers who have a child who currently wears one of the below sizes:
Size 4: 7 - 18 kg / 15 - 40 lbs
Size 5: 11 - 25 kg / 24 - 55 lbs
Size 6: 15+ kg/33+ lbs

Selected testers will receive a free carry pack of New Pampers Baby-Dry Pants in their chosen size.

Testers will need to be available to test their pack of Baby-Dry Pants starting in September, so please only apply if you're available at that time.

Everyone who takes part and shares their feedback on to a thread on Mumsnet and fills in a short survey will be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win a £200 John Lewis voucher. We’ll also be sending you a link to //Pampers.co.uk, where you can tell Pampers what you thought about the product.

Please sign up here if you'd like to take part.

Thanks,
MNHQ

I received a missed packet note from the postman today. Unfortunately he decided to put it in the (full) recycling bin that was collected before I got home - tis gone forever Sad
I fear that it was the nappies, can I get some more sent out?

Mine haven't come yet. And the email sent to my account has disappeared (I mean genuinely, it vanished before my eyes). I don't want to get black listed for not reviewing so I'm just letting you know I haven't received them....

Mine have arrived, have used one on DS before his nap. He was so pleased with them as they're like pants (he is 23 months but not quite potty training ready yet) so if they're as absorbant as the proper nappies I will be so pleased! Great first impression.

Dd is on her 2nd nappy. So far so good. Nice and soft, stretchy waist, no signs of rubbing/soreness as yet.

First impressions whilst I remember - will try remember to c&p from here to the feedback thread when it arrives.

I was disappointment that they are not velcro-ed the way that Huggies PullUps are. It means I have to fully undress DS's lower-half, including shoes in order to put them on whereas with the Huggies ones I can un-Velcro, slip them on whilst trousers are around his ankles and revelcro - whilst still being able to "rip" them off when necessary - much more convenient.

My very first impression was that they look very like the cheapo Asda own brand pull-ups that I bought however they are actually much much softer and do seem to fit better. The sticky tab is very helpful for throwing it away too.

Just did first over night and they were superb! I am in love with these so far, and they have really made changing DS so much easier. I will definitely be buying these and recommending to friends.

DS will literally not lie down now and putting the tabbed nappies on to a standing/moving baby is just asking for trouble!

Thank you so much for choosing me to test these!

Oh my only negative is that I cannot fathom how to work the sticky tab for disposal, I also think it looks a bit weird (like a page marker post it!) but that's virtually insignificant!!

We used them overnight last night and they were great.
No leaks and the elastic/stretchy part seems to fit so well around legs and tummys - we have 3 children under 3 and the nappies fit all of them perfectly!

Agree Dad they fit very well and seem to dig in less than normal nappies and they move with DS.

Has anyone noticed that they really, really smell though? And I don't smell any nappy usually.

I also think it would be good (though probably impossible) if they could be opened one handed, it's quite hard to tear the side (which is obviously what makes them so good in other ways, I just want my cake...!)

Right then, we've been using these for a couple of days and here is my feedback (unless MNTowers need this on a separate thread?)

First impressions were that they looked and felt really good.

The first day we used them DS had a bit of an upset tummy and the Pampers did a really good job of 'containing' the issue Grin. No leaks, very happy.

They also worked really well overnight - I'm always suspicious of needing a separate type of night time nappy; it feels like aggressive marketing and seems a pointless extra expense. So these ones did the job round the clock which was great.

I really like how stretchy they are around the waist and legs, they make a snug fit, but are not so tight they leave marks on the skin, or appear uncomfortable in anyway.

At first I thought the sticky tab on the back was a wetness indicator, then realised it was for wrapping up the dirty nappy for easy disposal, a nice feature I suppose but not a big deal for me.

My DS is a little monster when it comes to fiddling with the sticky tabs on our current brand of nappy, especially at night time. So sometimes he can loosen the nappy or even get it off! So these pants style ones are great in that he would not be able to remove them.

At first I thought there was a serious design flaw in the nappy, thinking when it was dirty, it had to be pulled down like proper pants and the contents would get spread everywhere. Then I realised you can rip them at the sides, which solved the problem. So far, the seam that you rip has been really robust and hasn't accidentally torn so that's good.

Just a couple of things that are not so good:
As another poster has already said, to change these nappies, you have to completely undress your toddlers lower half, which might (?) not be a problem for a little girl wearing a dress, but for a toddler wearing trousers, it does mean completing undressing them, which is a faff.

I found that when I had to use nappy cream on DS, the pull up style of pants could often mean spreading the cream about and getting a bit messy. However, I don't think this is a big negative, as the overall positive aspects of the product outweigh this.

We haven't started potty training DS yet as he is showing no interest, but this product definitely seems like a nappy, despite its pants design. Is it meant to be a potty training product? It seems a little unclear, as the design and branding suggest it is, but it functions like a nappy, drawing away the wetness so presumably the toddler cannot feel they are wet/had an "accident" so how helpful is this in the toddlers learning? I think the branding needs to be much clearer on this.

Thanks very much for including us in the product test, I would be interested in using them more in the future.
