@EstoyAqui

I had a specific question regarding a piece of advice on the app regarding visiting hospital for all burns. I was told at a first aid course last year that this was only necessary if the burn was bigger than the palm of a childs hand. Can anyone shed any light?

Hi - the British Red Cross asked me to pass on the following to you re this query:
British Red Cross recommend that people always seek medical advice if a baby or child has been burned. Burns can be very dangerous depending on the age of the child and the size, depth and location of the injury. Even small burns can be potentially life-threatening. Call NHS Direct if you are unsure (and 999 in an emergency). The advice given to 'seek medical advice if the burn is larger than the casualty's hand' applies to people over the age of 12
