We have been asked by Tesco to recruit 1000 Shock UK based MNers to test one of two selected items from their newly launched range of cleaning products, Naturally Powered.

If you don't know about these products, here's what Tesco has to say:

"At Naturally Powered, we know that while you want to be green, you still want your cleaning products to work! That's why we've gone all out to create a new range of ecologically friendly cleaning, washing up and laundry products that are kind to the environment and uncompromising on performance".

There are two products to be tested in total, and for this we need:

~ 500 MNers to test the full sized Naturally Powered antibacterial spray, and
~ 500 MNers to test the full sized Naturally Powered non-bio laundry powder

In addition, all testers will also receive a trial-sized sachet of Naturally Powered washing up liquid.

If you are selected to take part, you will be sent the product to test and will be required to add your feedback to a thread on Mumsnet. Everyone who adds their feedback will be entered into a prize draw, where one of you will win £200 of Tesco vouchers.

If you would like to take part please add your details here

Thanks

Laundry liquid or powder?

Can't stand powder so got that far and suddenly realised power might mean powder...

I've volunteered for DH to test the Non-Bio.

I'm a bit Shock at Tesco using MN for some serious quant testing though, which is what the sample size of 1000 would suggest - especially as they haven't asked any demographic questions other than age/presence of children in the family.

Their results will not be meaningful as they won't have any clue as to how representative they are of the general population.

I'm assuming that you are aware of this however Hmm

.... and also that it is against the MRS Code of Conduct to incentivise people with a client's own products?

But I'd still like to take part and get some free stuff, even though I'm guessing I will now automatically be excluded for outing myself as a market researchy/insighty person and casting aspersions on the validity of the research

TheOtherHelenMumsnet · 29/03/2012 10:38

Toothbrushthief - sorry, that was a typo - it is powder I'm afraid but you could sign up to test the antibacterial spray instead of the washing powder? Just tick the right box at Q6 on the recruitment survey

tigercametotea · 29/03/2012 10:46

Done! Hope I get it..

MrsKitty · 29/03/2012 12:00

Done

bubby64 · 29/03/2012 13:16

Done as well, fingers crossed!!

TheOtherHelenMumsnet · 29/03/2012 14:22

BIWI - not to worry, no hint of a quant study here, will be purely qual feedback, Tesco just had a LOT of samples they wanted you all to try out! And we're not members of the MRS to answer your other query.

StateofConfusion · 29/03/2012 15:14

when do we find out if were one of the chosen ones Grin

TheOtherHelenMumsnet · 29/03/2012 15:41

We're leaving the recruitment open over the weekend and will let selected testers know asap next week

BIWI · 29/03/2012 15:47

Hmm. OK, Helen. You might not be members, but Tesco insight people surely will be ...

But not my concern.
