We've been asked by Kleenex Balsam to find 65 Mumsnetters to try their most soothing range of tissues and to add feedback on Mumsnet. This product test is aimed at MNers who would like to try the tissues with themselves and/or any member of the family and who:

~ Are in the UK

~ (who normally buy tissues) but who don't buy Kleenex Balsam and
~ who also have a runny nose, cold or sniffle (could be any member of the family)

The Kleenex team say their range of Balsam tissues "contains a protective balm with Calendula to help soothe your nose and prevent your skin from drying out. Balsam Fresh tissues have a touch of menthol to also help ease breathing, ideal for the cold and flu season".

For more info see here

If you are selected to take part in the product test you will be sent one of each of the following:

~ Balsam tissues in regular, man-size and pocket pack formats
~ Balsam Fresh tissue in regular & pocket pack formats
~ Kleenex Balsam Nose and Lip Balm

You'll be asked to try the products with your family and then to add your feedback to a thread on Mumsnet. Everyone who takes part and who adds their feedback will be entered into a prize draw to win John Lewis vouchers - there will be one prize of £150 and two runners up will get £50 each.

The Kleenex team are very interested in which your favourite products from the range were and how you and your family used them.

Before you sign up, please note Kleenex may well use quotes from the feedback on the Kleenex hub on Mumsnet - along with your MN name E.g. AnnMumsnet said "xxx"

If Kleenex want to use one of your comments anywhere other than on the Kleenex MN pages (for example, in press ads, on the Kleenex website and Facebook pages) they will also want to include your name and location (e.g. Sally of Norwich said "xxx"). If your comment is selected, we will contact you beforehand to confirm these details and for your permission, and you can decline if you wish. The Kleenex team may also want testers to act as case studies and again if so, you will be contacted by Mumsnet.

If you'd like to take part please sign up here

Those selected will be notified by email and products will be sent out via Royal Mail.

Best of luck, MNHQ

Arf. I have just bought some of these from the PoundShop. They were a pound, you know.

MrsPotter · 11/01/2012 12:14

Done it, hope I get chosen, this sniffle is driving me mad!

Tee2072 · 11/01/2012 12:21

My nose has been running for weeks. After I go catch it, I'd like to try them please! (So long as I can remember to not wipe my glasses with them. Grin)

kreecherlivesupstairs · 11/01/2012 12:31

Fingers crossed. I have been lucky before, my nose could do with a treat.

LadySybilDeChocolate · 11/01/2012 12:32

Done (sniffs)

Pascha · 11/01/2012 12:37

I never knew there was such a thing as a Kleenex Hub here. I might start exploring the outer reaches of this site now. Send a search party if I'm not back within 24 hours...

lubeybooby · 11/01/2012 12:55

Done. Permanent sniffle here

ElectricSoftParade · 11/01/2012 12:59
Fillybuster · 11/01/2012 12:59

Done...now off to explore this thing you refer to as the Kleenex Hub. Wait for me Pascha

(Do you saddle huskies?)

MotherPanda · 11/01/2012 13:00

My nose seems to run the year round, hay fever in spring and summer and the blasted cold autumn and winter. Sigh.

Pascha · 11/01/2012 13:00

Gee up, Rover...

Fillybuster · 11/01/2012 13:01

Dancer, Rudolph....to me....hup hup!

Pascha · 11/01/2012 13:07

Is there a sleigh involved? You've nicked it from FC haven't you?

sleepevader · 11/01/2012 13:18

Done!

Fillybuster · 11/01/2012 13:29

He said he didn't need it much at this time of year, and muttered something about 'not doing returns or refunds'...you coming, or what?

Pascha · 11/01/2012 13:32

Ham sandwich - check
Ginger beer - check

Clean pants on - check.

Fillybuster · 11/01/2012 13:46

Tissues??? Have you packed the Kleenex Balsam tissues?

Honestly...do I have to do everything myself?

Pascha · 11/01/2012 13:49

No, Filly, because I've Never Tried Kleenex Balsam Tissues! Don't you read the conditions?

smackapacca · 11/01/2012 13:57

Done!

edam · 11/01/2012 14:03

I don't like them because you can't use them for anything else - when I carry tissues, I want to be able to clean my glasses or mop up spills as well as blow my nose.

Fillybuster · 11/01/2012 14:18

Me neither. But they strike me as Just The Thing for our exploratory trip to the Outer Reaches of Mumsnet.

Perhaps we should unshackle the reindeer, unlease the huskies, unpack the rucksack, eat the sarnies and have a nice cup of tea whilst we wait to find out whether we've been selected for the trial?

Wouldn't want to head off into the wilderness Insufficiently Prepared....

nickelhasababy · 11/01/2012 14:24

lovely.
i've signed up.
I've never used them.

Pascha · 11/01/2012 14:25

I already ate the sandwich.

inmysparetime · 11/01/2012 14:39

sparklystar · 11/01/2012 15:00
